Very stable, quick, boat. Poplar backbone planked in 4mm Okoume plywood and trimmed in White Ash. 62lbs. Built from Tursiops Kayak plans available through WoodenBoat Magazine. I've had it out in 3 -5ft. waves and it handled very well, no water over the decks. I especially like the fact that it is very stable, no sense of tippiness. I use a Greenland style paddle made from western red cedar. Very light weight.
