At the November 9, 2003 CABBS Meeting, Jim Rendt showed his Little Dubber, a 7.5 ft, stitch-n-glue kayak made from 1/8inch ply panels and trimmed out in mahogany . The topsides are finished bright. The area below the waterline is coated with Jim's personal recipe of epoxy, aluminum powder, and graphite. Power is a double-bladed paddle. Jim's wife and kids claim it tracks and paddles as well as one of their stubby polyethylene store-bought kayaks.
This finely crafted boat with its curious shape is sure to be a conversation piece wherever it goes.
