About CABBS

Founded in 1967, CABBS brings together people who share a passion for building, sailing, paddling, and motoring in boats. Through meetings, outings, and a lending library, members have an opportunity to learn and have fun wtih those who share a similar interest. Visitors are always welcome at CABBS activities.

Cleveland Amateur Boatbuilding and Boating Society

WHISTLE Youth Boatbuilding Program at Wendy Park Launches Five Optimist Prams

Congratulations to the fifteen Cleveland middle school students who built five Optimist Pram dinghies in seven afternoons and then learned to sail them. CABBS members supported this program by volunteering their time to cut out parts for the kits and by contributing to the purchase of materials and supplies. Members also helped train the instructors and then assisted students throughout the program as it unfolded at Wendy Park behind the Lake Erie breakwall. View gallery.
